You Have
Free Will.
So Who Is
Setting Your Events?
In Part 1 we discovered that your reactions are pure free will. But here's the question that goes deeper: if you're free — why does your life keep looking the same? Who, or what, is actually selecting the experiences you live through?
Events that happen to you = Destiny. Your response to those events = Pure Free Will. And your response writes your next destiny. That is the loop. But Part 1 left one enormous question unanswered: if the events are destiny — who is writing that destiny? Who is actually selecting what you experience?
This is the question that changes everything. Because most people assume that the events of their life are happening to them — random, external, beyond their influence. But what if the events of your life are not happening to you at all? What if they are being selected — right now, continuously, invisibly — by something operating deep inside you, 24 hours a day, without your conscious awareness?
What if the life you are living is not a series of things that happened to you — but a precise reflection of the experiences your own mind has been selecting, on autopilot, since the day you were born?
That would mean you are not a victim of your circumstances. You are the author of them — just not consciously. Not yet.
The Shocking Truth:
You Are on Autopilot
Right now, in this moment, your mind is making decisions. Tiny ones. Constant ones. What to pay attention to. What to feel about what you see. What to want. What to resist. What to seek. What to avoid. These micro-decisions, made thousands of times per day, are what select the experiences — the events — that show up in your life.
And here is the devastating part: you are not making these decisions. Your mind is. The conscious "you" — the one reading these words right now — is not the one driving. You are sitting in the passenger seat, watching the scenery, convinced you are steering.
So Who Is Actually
Setting Your Events?
The real answer is layered. Multiple forces are at work simultaneously — and understanding each one gives you a completely different relationship with your own life. Here is the full picture:
The universe creates the conditions. The planets imprint the presets. The subconscious mind runs on those presets, selecting experiences that match them. And your free will — your conscious awareness — is the only force that can step in, observe the pattern, and choose differently. This is the whole game.
The Mind's Presets:
Your Invisible Event Engine
Think about the people you know who seem naturally drawn to certain things. One person is born loving music — they didn't decide this, it was just always there. Another is naturally drawn to solitude. Another to leadership. Another to spirituality. Another seems to attract chaos wherever they go, while someone else consistently attracts abundance.
These are not coincidences. These are presets — deep patterns in the subconscious mind that determine what it gravitates toward, what it fears, what it believes it deserves, and therefore, what experiences it keeps selecting and recreating.
The layers of your mind — from surface to source
The voice in your head. What you think you are deciding. About 5% of your actual mental activity.
Habits, memories, learned responses. Just below the surface — accessible if you look.
Deep beliefs, emotional wounds, core assumptions about yourself and life. Rarely visible but always running.
The deepest level — imprinted at birth, shaped by planets and soul history. This is where your event-selection originates.
Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
Carl JungThis is Jung's most profound insight — and it maps perfectly onto what the Bhagavad Gita has said for 5,000 years. The mind, running on unconscious presets, selects your experiences. You observe the results and call it fate, luck, or destiny. But it is not fate. It is your own mind — on autopilot — creating the life it was pre-programmed to create.
What you call destiny is actually your own subconscious mind's selection — playing out in the outer world. Change the preset, and you change the selection. Change the selection, and you change the events.
Then What Is
Free Will Really For?
If the mind's presets are running the show — selecting experiences, generating events, creating what we call destiny — then where does free will actually operate? What is the point of it?
Free will is the power to become aware of the preset and choose differently. It is the gap between the mind's automatic selection and your conscious response to it. Most people never find that gap. They live entirely inside the mind's program, believing every thought, obeying every impulse, following every preset without question.
Free will is not the ability to choose whatever you want in the outer world. Free will is the ability to observe your own mind — to catch the preset in action — and to consciously choose a different response. That conscious choice, made again and again, slowly rewrites the preset. And a rewritten preset selects different experiences. And different experiences create a different destiny. This is how you actually change your life.
This is why the same person can go through the same event — a breakup, a failure, a financial loss — and emerge completely transformed, while another person goes through the same event and recreates the exact same pattern six months later with different people. One used their free will to interrupt the preset. The other let the preset run. Same event. Different response. Completely different destiny.
Your soul has a duty to perform.
That is why it was given these presets.
The presets are not a curse. They are not random. Your soul arrived in this life with a specific set of experiences it needs to move through — lessons it needs to witness, feel, and grow from. The presets are the curriculum. The events are the classroom. And you are not here to change the events. You are here to change your relationship with them.
Your Free Will Is To Witness
Not to control. Not to escape. Not to fix. Your free will is the power to consciously witness what is happening — to see the event clearly, without the mind's automatic reaction pulling you under.
Everything Happens For Good
Every event — without exception — is arriving for one purpose only: your growth. The loss, the betrayal, the failure, the unexpected turn. The universe does not send suffering. It sends curriculum.
Karma Is Not Punishment
Karma has nothing to do with punishment. Karma is simply your perspective on the event. Two people face the same loss. One sees punishment. One sees redirection. The event is identical. The karma — the response — is entirely theirs to choose.
Events Will Always Come
The events will not stop arriving. That is not the goal. The goal is to stop suffering through them and start navigating through them — with awareness, with grace, with the understanding of why they are here.
The events of your life will keep coming. That is destiny doing its job. What KarmaWallet helps you change is not the events — it is your perspective on them. When your perspective shifts, suffering becomes navigation. Chaos becomes clarity. And what once felt like punishment begins to feel like the most precise, loving guidance your soul has ever received.
You are not living your life.
Your mind is living it for you.
Until you decide otherwise.
The moment you see the preset operating — the moment you catch your mind selecting the familiar experience over the growth experience — that is the moment your free will becomes real. That is the moment everything can change.
☸ Observe your mind. Change your destiny.
The preset is running.
Are you watching?
KarmaWallet helps you build the daily practice of watching your own mind — so you can catch the presets, choose differently, and consciously author your next chapter.
